1.Brief Introduction of Macao Institute for Tourism Studies
Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM), established in 1995, is a public institution of higher education in Macao that offers degree programs and professional training in tourism and hospitality, and is under the supervision of the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Government of Macao Special Administrative Region. IFTM offers degrees and professional programs in a wide range of tourism-related disciplines such as tourism enterprise management, cultural heritage management, hotel management, tourism, and exhibition management. IFTM continues to seek creativity in learning and education and to cultivate talents with professional knowledge and skills not only for Macao, but also for the Asia-Pacific region. In2008, IFTM was awarded the “Medal of Merit in Tourism”, which fully recognized the contribution of IFTM in promoting the local tourism.
According to the accord we signed with IFTM, we have the opportunity to select and send several students majoring in tourism management to study at IFTM.
（1）The students should be all-round developed of morality, intelligence and physical ability.
（2）Excellent academic performance, and good command of English.
（3）Students majoring tourism management.
（1）According to the accord we signed with IFTM, the tuition of exchange students is free. (Tuition is paid to the school involved in accordance with the standard of source school.)
（2）The rest of the expenses should be paid by students.
4.Selection and application
The selection of this project is applied by the students voluntarily. The school of business makes quota recommendations, which is followed by a review procedure by the relevant department of the school. The specific procedures are as follows:
（1）The students apply online and upload relevant materials.
（2）A long-list will be sent to the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the school after being confirmed by the school of business. Materials submitted includes: application forms for exchange study of overseas universities, personal resume, report cards and copies of ID card.
